Leo Kempf designed this shelf while studying at the University of Kansas.
I wanted to design a useful piece of furniture to store things I find in my workspace including binders, papers, CDs, books, and misc.
This distinctive piece combines function with a form that demands attention. The angled nature breaks up it's environment. It creates tension in the space because it appears unstable, but is actual well balanced empty or loaded.
